I received MSc in artificial intelligence and PhD in applied informatics from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. I teach in an international joint masters program in cognitive science, which allows me to combine my professional background with my long-standing interest in human cognition and psychology. My research focuses on computational modeling of cognitive functions. I am a co-creator of cognitive architecture of BabyX - the first hyper-realistic virtual infant, developed in collaboration with Soul Machines Ltd. I am currently looking for collaborations in the area of computational psychiatry.
I am interested in a wider impact of AI on society and ethical aspects of cognitive technologies. I am active in raising public awareness about these issues. See my public outreach page (in Slovak).
I am a senior member of the Cognition and Neural Computation Research Group and a founding member and current chair of Slovak Cognitive Science Society.
I supervise PhD students of computer science, master students of cognitive science (mIKV) and applied informatics (mAIN) and bachelor students of applied informatics (bAIN). See the list of ongoing and completed theses.
I like to spend my leisure time outdoors or by making and playing various kinds of traditional Slovak flutes and bagpipes.
